SCOTUS and more SCOTUS, Separation of Church and State, & TEACHERS w/ Jamie Woods
This week we just had to talk about SCOTUS and the recent decisions of overturning Roe v Wade and other (horrible) decisions made by the court. Y'all, we need to hear your thoughts on this!
Question for the Week:
With Supreme Court rulings on things like Roe v. Wade and Kennedy v. Bremerton School District, there seems to be a greater blurring of lines between church and state. I'd like to hear what you have to say about this.
Special Guest:
Jamie Woods, Second Grade Teacher, Emma Jewel Charter Academy
Guest Question:
Teachers don't get enough love, respect or support from our communities. Especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, teachers have a had real tough job trying to educate kids through virtual means, in-person teaching, and hybrid models. Even with COVID restrictions now being lifted, how are teachers feeling about everything? How can communities, and particularly people of faith, support them as they try to do their job? And how have teachers maintained their strength and resilience in these difficult times?
